The Mix Kitchen
We were thrilled to be asked by handmade tiles specialists, Bert & May, to create a kitchen for The Mix, a new interiors destination in East London they had the incredible vision to establish. Bert & May gathered 10-design led UK interiors brands, chosen for their ‘craft, creativity and character’ and we had the wonderful opportunity to design and make a very special show kitchen for the space…
Think atmospheric member’s clubs with oak panelling, leather Chesterfields and brooding, rich hues – a traditional scheme interpreted for a modern kitchen in an East London warehouse! The unique palette includes the luscious Aubergine from our Eco Colour collection with warm, speckled London Plane wood. The Brockwell Moss interior of the glass fronted cabinets adds a touch of green.
The lightly textured natural stone worktop, Lundhs Antique® from our friends at Gerald Culliford, has dappled shades of brown with a little iridescent lilac and continues on the Turnmill Prep Table.
Adjacent to the kitchen, the Pluck pantry includes a yellow pop with Market Mustard cupboards with a solid Cherry wood worktop and an Ash wood plate rack and wall hooks.
‘This one-of-a-kind destination brings together a curated collection of distinctive, design-led interiors brands – each with their own story, style, and passion for making.’ said Lee Thornley, founder of Bert & May ‘The Mix is more than a showroom. It’s a meeting place for designers, makers, and anyone who loves interiors with soul’.
We are so delighted to be part of this collaborative design destination, the fruits of which can be seen in our design with beautiful Bert & May tiles, gorgeous glinting bespoke Armac Martin antique brass handles, jewel-like Curiosa glass lighting, fantastic fireclay sinks by Whitebirk Sink Company and wonderful wall colours by Farrow & Ball.
