Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve compiled a round-up of the most common queries but if you still can’t find what you’re looking for please email studio@pluck.co.uk or give us a call on 020 7095 1795 – we’d love to hear from you!
We design and handmake our bespoke kitchens under one roof (well two Victorian warehouse roofs to be precise!) in Brixton, South London.
Yes most definitely – our projects are UK wide (and beyond!).
We don’t sell our doors and drawers fronts separately.
Yes! Our furniture can be purchased separately, if you’d like a Brixton Dresser, larder cupboard, fluted glass cabinet, prep or work table please call or email our design team for more information.
The typical timeframe for a Pluck kitchen from design to delivery is five months, so please contact us with plenty of time for your project. Should you have less than five months, it is still worth getting in touch as our schedules do change. We can also work to much longer timescales, should you wish to get your project booked in with us earlier on in your renovation programme. However, there are some exceptions, we would ask, if you are in the process of buying a property, that you book in a consultation once you have exchanged or completed on the property.
We are happy for you to confirm your kitchen with us at any point as long as you leave enough time! But realistically, if the kitchen is part of an extension or whole house renovation, then confirming the kitchen with us would come after you have received your tenders back from contractors. In a project where we are working within an existing space, we typically have the longest lead time, so confirming with us is normally the first step, then when you appoint a builder, we are more likely able to work to their availability.
Pluck kitchen cabinetry starts from £30,000 including delivery.
This cost does not include worktops, installation and appliances, typically these equate to 40% of the overall spend.
For example, if your cabinetry cost £30,000 we would anticipate the worktops, installation and appliances (including a sink and tap) would be an additional £20,000.
The payments for your kitchen and installation are split across six stages which are set out at the start of your project according to the approximate date you need the kitchen delivered and installed. This setting out doesn’t fix the delivery date, but it does determine the time we have on the conceptual design and also the time needed to make the cabinetry and furniture.
The First Payment: This is at the start of the project and confirms we are making your kitchen. It is 30% of the cabinetry costs based on the Detailed design quotation.
Design Stage Payment: This is a fixed date payment scheduled towards the end of the Design Stage. It is 30% of the cabinetry costs.
Production Payment: This payment is linked to finalising the design of your kitchen before it goes into production. It accompanies the final design drawings that you will need to sign off. It is 10% of the cabinetry costs, plus or minus any changes you have made in the Design Stage.
First Installation Payment: If we are installing your kitchen, this payment is due at the same time as the Production Payment. It confirms the installation with us. It is 80% of the installation cost.
Final Payment: This is a fixed date payment due towards the end of the project. This payment needs to be paid in order for the cabinetry to be delivered. It is 30% of the original cabinetry costs.
Final Installation Payment: This payment is due on the 1st day of the installation. If payment is not received on this day, the installation will be paused until paid. It is the final 20% of the Installation cost.

Once we have a Design Consultation booked, we have already provided a First Design and Quote for your project. As this next stage is a deeper dive into the design, if you have already selected certain finishes, for example tiles or flooring, please do bring along any samples or information as this is useful when discussing wood and colour options for your cabinetry and furniture.
For in-person Design Consultations, we allow two hours. Online consultations tend to take approximately one hour.
Yes! Dogs are very welcome, belly rubs, treats and water will be provided.
Whilst we don’t supply worktops ourselves, we can guide you through the process and share our little black book of trusted suppliers. We also have an extensive selection of samples and a project portfolio showing worktops of many different materials in-situ.
Yes! We can offer a broad range of appliances from different brands. If you are keeping any of your existing appliances, we can incorporate them into the design too.
Longer than you might think! Overall, it takes about 4-5 weeks. In the first week a lot happens, all the cabinets are set in place ready for the worktop supplier to come and make templates. Typically worktops take a couple of weeks for production. During this time, we will continue on with the rest of the cabinetry installation. The worktops are then fitted and final connections are made for the plumbing and appliances. Once all this is in, the final steps are normally any tiling or splashbacks.
We can, though it’s worth noting that costs will increase significantly due to import taxes and duties, the lead time may increase too.
