Pluck x Schotten & Hansen: Kitchen Furniture
We’re delighted to collaborate with German timber specialists Schotten & Hansen to launch kitchen furniture that combines our pared back, elegant style and creative colour combinations with Schotten & Hansen’s naturally coloured Douglas Fir veneers, in four custom hues.

Livingetc awarded us Best in Class and Best Kitchen Collaboration in The Livingetc Style Awards 2025, citing our ‘exceptional creativity’. Whilst executive editor Pip Rich said ‘Clever, considered and built to last, this year’s kitchen winners balance form and function with ease. These designs deliver both style and substance. I’m ultra impressed’.
Homes & Gardens said our ‘work stood out as a true example of outstanding design in 2025’ and awarded us Best Kitchen Collaboration in the Homes & Gardens Design Awards 2025.

Pluck x Schotten & Hansen
As with our wood veneers, Schotten & Hansen’s naturally coloured Douglas Fir can be incorporated in all of our cabinetry and furniture designs, freestanding or fitted.
The example here includes a larder in Churchhaven Blue, with Petra internal drawers and Milton Blue door racks. The lower cupboards are Camargue Rose. The glass cabinets have a solid London Plane timber frame with Kadoorie Green interior.
The names nod to the visual impact of these naturally pigmented veneers. They are evocative of seeing planet earth from above with great scapes of undulating shapes – river tributaries, salt flats and mountain ranges, beaches and deserts. Like a piece of abstract art, we think you could get lost gazing at the beauty of your kitchen cupboard door!

Founded in Bavaria, Germany in 1984, Schotten & Hansen is a global expert in creating the highest quality, regenerable wooden flooring and surfaces using traditional craftsmanship in combination with modern engineering technology and natural ingredients.
