Full of character this petite, moody oil is a curious and beguiling piece…especially fond of the savoy cabbage. Hailing from the continent, the painting is signed, not dated but we understand it to be the 19th century. There is some cracking to paint – as can be seen in the photos.

The simple carved dark wood frame suits the piece very well.
