A vase of tumbling hollyhocks sits against an ombre backdrop. The colours in this pretty oil are subdued and calming, the soft pink of the flowers standing out against the surrounding earthy tones.

The faded frame with its ornate detailing works very well with the painting.

The piece is signed, we think ‘Freda Buxton’ and dated we believe ‘1965’. We have another painting by the same artist.
