Glazed Cabinets
Our glazed cabinets have a classic and elegant feel, with slender solid wood framing the glass panes. We can make the cabinets with fluted or clear glass and at custom heights and widths too. Typically one cupboard has two doors, but this will depend on the overall size.
Unlike other kitchen cupboards, the interior of glazed cabinets can be seen when the doors are closed. It may sound like an obvious statement, but it’s worth thinking about as this has several positive implications:
The cabinetry is visually much lighter than solid-doored cabinets.
The colour inside can be seen from the outside, but its intensity is reduced and subdued via reflections on clear glass, and by a hazing of the hue through fluted glass.
What’s inside can be seen; for some reason there seems to be a special status imputed to anything you put in a glazed cabinet, your everyday mugs and practical plates will be elevated to precious objet! With fluted glass the soft blurred outlines of the items within give a painterly effect, it’s like having a dynamic piece of art in the kitchen, an ever-changing still life!
The frame can be any of our woods and the internal colour can be any Pluck colour. We can incorporate internal lighting and the shelves can be glass or solid. For the taller cabinets that sit on the worktop, we turn a delicate knob in wood to match the frame, for the wall cabinets there is a smooth groove in the cupboard’s door for opening.
Our glass fronted cupboards can be bought individually, please contact the design team for more information.

Inspiring Glazed Cabinets
There are many different ways glazed cabinets can be incorporated into your kitchen’s design; a focal point on a wall, surrounded by other cupboards or shelving, nestled in a niche…all delightful!
