Katie Rowe’s Victorian Terrace Kitchen

‘Nothing in the room is shiny. I wanted matt finishes with an aged look, so I had the walls lime washed, the marble splashbacks are honed rather than polished and the floor is reclaimed’ said interior consultant Katie Rowe when speaking to House Beautiful magazine about her kitchen’s renovation. Katie opted for London Plane and Half Moon White cabinetry and our design includes a larder with double doors, where the wood’s grain looks particularly glorious. The overhaul of the room included opening up the kitchen to the garden, there had been a bathroom before ‘it was such a great moment to let the sunlight flood in’ says Katie and means they didn’t extend, just worked cleverly with the existing footprint.
