Islington Townhouse Kitchen

This kitchen defies any notion that a basement kitchen should be poky and dark. Working with architect Studio Pike, our clients negotiated strict planning laws for this Grade II listed Georgian townhouse to join the kitchen and dining room together, with Pluck’s cabinetry helping to create a continuity between the two spaces.

The cupboards here pick up the Atlantic Blue though their main hue is coral pink Ritzy. Texture is introduced with a bespoke recycled glass terrazzo worktop by Resilica and the walls are Farrow & Ball’s Setting Plaster. The kitchen featured in ‘colour drenched’ interiors by the Sunday Times and in the The English Home ‘Cooking in Colour: Explore the spectrum to create atmosphere, mood and magic’.

In their Bricks & Mortar section The Times illustrated ‘Galley Kitchen Ideas: how to design a narrow cooking space’ with an image of this room. And as if that is not enough press love, the whole house featured in House Beautiful.

Here our design, craft and innovation loving clients explained what drew them to Pluck ‘We’re very conscious of the impact we all have on the environment, so we immediately liked the company’s sustainable ethos as well as the designs’

It’s always a joy to hear this from our clients. Indeed, we describe our kitchens as being ‘consciously crafted’ due to our decisions being guided by the environmental impact of everything we do.
