An unusual composition, depicting a close up of a kitchen shelf, with veg, and a little glass with some scrunched up paper, which one assumes was used to wrap up the peppers and aubergine at the greengrocers. The soft pink of the background of the upper shelf is very lovely.
This vintage oil is painted by artist Anthony Baynes and dated 1973.
The frame is original and the painting is signed to the bottom right hand corner ‘AWGB 73’.
