A lovely lengthy intro about work table and prep table, airier then their kitchen island equivalent and provide another surface for food prep and some storage too plus they look lush as a rooms focal point. The design for this table draws inspiration from traditional cook’s tables. The piece provides a practical work surface and can be used instead of an island. 

The form is simple to accentuate the beauty of the timber selected and the table is crafted using traditional carpentry techniques.

The Work Table pictured combines Sweet Chestnut and Elm, both from English trees. The top is Capolavoro quartzite. As each table is made to order, the timber and top are customisable.

The table can be resized to suit your kitchen, the model here is:

Our prep table is incredibly versatile. It is a place to combine storage and seating if you wish, without the density of an island which typically has closed sides. 

Your prep table can include drawers and a slatted shelf, as in the example shown, or the design can include a solid base with no drawers, but perhaps a cupboard or place for seating instead.

Its location and interaction with the rest of your furniture is also customisable, whether it is standalone or sits nestled with other cabinetry.  

The table’s size can start from about 50cm long and 50cm width.

The frame, worktop and slatted lower shelf are solid Ash. The drawer colour is Brockwell Moss with Eccles rectangle handles.

As with all our furniture these elements are customisable with our colours and woods. The worktop can be wood, which we will craft in-house, or any material that works within your scheme, which we will source for you.
